Levent Beker is an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Koç University. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Middle East Technical University. Then, he obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley where he worked with Prof. Liwei Lin and Prof. Al Pisano on piezoelectric and harsh environment MEMS. Then, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University with Prof. Zhenan Bao on biodegradable implants and flexible sensors for electronic skin.
His research focuses on biodegradable and wireless implants and flexible/stretchable sensors for haptic feedback and prosthetic applications.
